I see we are talking 2 meters a bit well lets see the last Ruby that a Club member brought out to the field I think I herd it weighted about 50oz!!! Now we all no that a 2meter with this wing area must be I repeat must be about 40oz for a good wing loading maybe up to 44 oz would make a fair contest ship if you know how to get to a thermal very quick.. then your ok . Buy yourself the Orion it looks nice and its almost RTF.. now if you can build a Ruby in the 40oz range you got yourself a fine T.D ship but remember its hard to paint it up nice and pretty and still get it in the weight range thats needed for a good T.D> 2meter.. Mike.M so cal.. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Ron Quintana" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Sent: Thursday, August 31, 2000 5:30 PM Subject: [RCSE] 2 Meter Sailplane Am looking for a good 2M at a reasonable price ($200 to $300), but mostly ARF like the Orion or Ruby.
