I know some guys out there are sailing boats during the winter season, so
here goes. Its a Victor Wildcat, can be seen at www.victor-model.com. The
boat has been sailed only a handful of times. Its in good condition. I have
added wider beams to the boat. The paint job is not the best, the hulls are
all blue, but its not very shiny. The beams and mast are varnished. The
radio is a 2 channel Futaba Attack. The TX and RX need alkaline batteries.
The rudder servo is a Futaba standard. The winch is a modified standard
servo with a drum on top. It turns one way to "wind up" the sheets, other
way to let them out. The winch is completely enclosed. An arm type servo
requires the arm to hang out in the breeze. The sails are pretty much stock.
I have added some battens and a better vang. The boat is pretty fast,
enough to keep someone interested. The main reason I am getting rid of the
boat is because I would rather spend my time flying.
