No, first it was Bill Johns that proposed this, not I...

Second, there was no discussion of doing laps, just who could launch the 
highest, and then get down the fastest, and hit a precision 
landing.  Interesting enough, the guys with the biggest launches will have 
the farthest distance to dive for the fastest time down.

Again, I suggested none of this, I just commented that I had the small 
device for altitude telemetry already, you know, that weird vario tone that 
emmenates around me when you stand close enought to me, and that lady with 
the German accent...  8-)
