I'm sorry you guys got "hit" at the CASL event, but something in Karlton's
post the other day just bothers me:

You are a victim -- but I don't believe your a victim of the Hampton Inn!

I stay at plenty of hotels while carrying expensive equipment. I carry
Weatherby rifles ($1000+) on hunting trips and I wouldn't consider leaving
them overnight in my vehicle where someone could see them. I take them to
the room. If I had left 12 of these rifles (you said you invoiced the
Hampton for 12 grand) piled up in the back of my car in plain sight, I
believe I would be inviting trouble. Since this was the event hotel, I'm
sure there were lots of other pilots there that didn't have problems. I'm
guessing that very few cars in the lot had $12,000 worth of cool toys left
in them overnight. Had it been taken out of your room, or maybe while valet
parked, I would probably be with you. I don't think that Hampton Inn's have
security guards, and I don't think they are responsible for crimes committed
in their parking lot. I'll be very surprised if you recover anything from
them. The Hampton Hotel chain didn't take your stuff -- a crook did!

Your angry and I don't blame you. I'm not cold hearted, I just think your
mad at the wrong people.

Jeff (No I don't work for the Hampton Inn) Seeliger
