1. CASA in the DC/MD/NoVA area flies a mix of "pure" sailplanes as well as electric. One site we have was previously used by a power club, but they lost it because of noise complaints. So far, we have had absolutely no problems with noise from electrics. 2. RF noise from motors is minimal. Most motors use capacitors across the brushes to cut noise. Remember, there's a sensitive receiver just a few inches away, so they cannot emit much RF. 3. Big electrics are becoming a problem for us. Low-power electrics (like Zagis) and electric gliders co-exist quite well with winch/hi-start planes, but heavy, fast electrics, essentially equivalent to .40 or larger wet power aerobats, are much less appropriate, and do not mix well.
