FWIW, I bought a Sears Craftsman Drill press twenty years ago for $99, I
don't know what they are now. I have carted that thing from city to city and
by now it is an old friend, always working just like the day I brought it
home. I had a $25 electric drill holder/press before that, it is sitting in
my mom and dads basement, not oxydizing fast enough! I am sure that my cost
per use by now is well below .50/hole, but I will admit that when I bought
it, it was a stretch. I use it for more things than I can think of, buffing,
sanding, drilling, it is a good old friend indeed.
