They are desined to discharge at close to 1000amps, so I don't see why they wouldn't work fine as automotive batteries couldn't handle that. They can also be discharged down to their minimum 1.67vpc. These are top of the line Hawker gates cells, 3.7 pounds each. Ordinarily they sell for $25, but here for $5.50 (says used but they tell me they were taken out of new equiptment and never actually used).
