The Sullivan rods are not "Carbon fiber pushrods".  If you read carefully
you will see that they have carbon fibers added to the normal "nyrod" to
make it less suceptible to heat induced length changes, as well as add some
strength to it.  It is fine for situations where a straight rod cannot be
used.

But then again I do wonder about the use of CF rods in sailplanes.  Most
people think "Carbon Fiber" WOW!  This is awesome and must be better!  But
alas, most cases a normal dowel or well supported hollow Al is just as light
an works fine...at less expense.
