One note with Wing-Launching with the snap roll
switch... when engaged the snap-roll overtakes all the
operations of the TX. You cannot move any of the
surfaces with the snap roll switch on. I found this a
bit troublesome since due to atmospheric conditions,
such as a gust of wind, I'll want to feed in a little
elevator or rudder on the climb up (or even worse
something comes off the plane and you need to react
instantly). If you try to let go of the snap roll
switch when you're only half way up you might end up
with some violent maneuvers.
However, there are a number of folks using the
snap-roll so I may be all wet here!
I've been using a flaperon mix on a two channel
glider. Plug the rudder into the aileron channel and
elevator into elevator. Turn the flaperon mix on and
then activate the flaperons with your favorite switch.
Adjust flap throw so you get the correct rudder
offset. Elevator/flap compensation can then be used
for your elevator preset!
