Martin,
Assuming the spar is OK, slice open the leading edge where the top
and bottom halves are joined (this is usually pretty easy to do).
Being near the root, you will be able to make yourself an airfoil
template for a foam insert into the D-tube. Size the insert big
enough to stiffen up the affected area.
You may have to slice open the LE quite a bit in order to insert the
foam; don't worry it, if it was easy to slice open, it'll be easy to
glue back together with epoxy; hold closed with masking tape.
Test-fit the foam insert by holding the LE closed and checking for
fit. Once it fits well, mix epoxy with some filler like Cabasil to
make it just a little less runny. Pry open the LE and apply the epoxy
between the foam and the wing skins; apply some to the LE where it is
split open, and squeeze it together once to wipe off excess epoxy.
Then, tape the whole shebang shut length-wise with 2"-wide masking
tape: stick the tape to the bottom or the top of the wing, and
carefully fold it around while squeezing the LE together firmly.
