I have had good luck cutting foam grooves by simply heating the last 6 or
8 inches of a piece of stiff steel wire with a propane torch and laying it
almost flat on the foam and dragging it along a line. Not really precise but
fine for burying antenna, wire or pushrod tubes. Practice on a piece of scrap
first. You will get the knack of how hot and how fast to move it quickly.
