Seeing as its a 2 channel plane, micros will only save you 2-3 ounces. Its probably
not worth it, plus, the standards will hold up better to abuse, should you crash. The
standards will contribute to nose weight anyway (which is generally needed).

I only have experience with the Flash, but its a great radio for the price, especially
when you consider that a lot of non-computerized 6 channel radios cost almost as much.
If you are a on limited budget, that's what I'd get. Keep in mind that it is really
optomized for planes with only 2 wing servos (one for each aileron), and probably
won't work too well if you get a 4 servo wing, full-house ship (rudder, elevator,
ailerons, and flaps).
BTW, were the guys you were watching flying off a slope?
