An attempt was made last weekend on the F3 (Glider) duration record by Nick Shaw of the Ivinghoe Soaring Association (my local club). In the end Nick managed to exceed the current British record of 15 hours, but sadly failed in his bid to break the WR because of equipment failure shortly before midnight on Saturday.
