Comparisons between today's attack and Pearl Harbor abound. At least,
at Pearl Harbor the targets were primarily military and the attackers
military personnel. Not so in today's cowardly attack where the weapons of
choice were domestic airliners carrying civilian passengers and crew. The
cool, calculating planners of today's attack purposely chose domestic
flights bound for the west coast thus ensuring a heavy load of fuel. Their
utter disregard for human life plus the hot-headed "zealots" who
commandeered and crashed the planes are a deadly combination. I pray not
only for the families of all of the victims, those working so hard in the
massive rescue efforts, but also for swift, efficient justice for those
truly responsible for these cowardly actions.
