Does any of you know if it is possible and how to reach 120� of angular range on a std servo ?
I measured the std range for a Graupner C5077 piloted on the throttle channel of my FF7 and it normally reaches about 60� (30� per side). By increasing the ATV to 120% I was only able to reach almost 90�, but nothing more.
The reason of this request is to get airbrakes (with flaperons up as much as possible) in a fast and small (2 m, 80") slope ship, by installing the servos laid down as usual with arm protruding on the lower side, but with the pushrod going through the wing innards to the TE and reaching the upper side of a centrally (thickness sense) hinged aileron. I checked on the paper the movement and realized I need about 120� of servo movement (from 3 o'clock to 7 o'clock, aileron arm length=1.5 servo arm) to get an aileron range of _30� down to 50� up_ with reasonable linearity around zero, and most of all, without amplification of the servo gears backlash, but with a slight reduction, as good practice dictates.
