I tore out the throwing peg on my Acacia DLG. The peg is a short (1/2")
piece of 7/16" dowel that is (was) glued into the tip of the hollow-molded
wing. The wing skins are now torn both top and bottom around the peg. I
have two questions:

1) What's the best way to fix it? I think I'd like to replace the peg with
a 1/4" carbon tube that's a little longer so I don't have to grip it with
thumb & forefinger anymore.

2) I assume it tore out because of bad throwing technique on my part. Any
thoughts on what I might have been doing wrong?

Thanks.
