Hey now,
I must be learning to fly after all this time. I was given a very
used BD-5 pss plane with a chunk out of the wing. I filled the hole with a
large piece of balsa and cleaned the whole thing up. The thing's got a
42" span and weighs around ninty oz., talk about a hiugh wing loading!

Well this weekend at pacifica the wind was up and I finaly got up the
nerve to fling it off the cliff.

I've never flown so fast (non-powered) This thing made my avocet feel like
a floater! serious verticals, and rolls like I've never seen before, like
eight or more in level flight! I'm hooked! Now to get rid of all my
midlevel planes... My Bob Martin coyote, and wood fuse rennegade are
slugs! The Avocet seems slow! GIVE ME FLYING BRICKS!!! This is just like
flying a pattern ship! I gotta build a clean one next (the bd has had four
previous owners and it's beat! but wooo hooo!). I.S.R. here I come!!!
                        RobII
P.S. thanks for leting me spew this at somebody, my wife just doesn't
understand...
