Jason and others, I have heard comments that many people that go to the Nats only fly certain events such as two meter because they want to fly all the days if they are going to go. I myself am one of those people, but would much rather see two meter dropped in favor of giving more days to f3b and f3j events. Maybe we could take a poll and see how many people feel and believe the same way. It is no secret that two meter is rapidly going the way of the old standard class all around the country and may be a good place to start looking for extra days. Also, lets look at the facts, Scale Soaring at the Nats has never been heavily participated in and yet still takes a day out of the schedule. If are bottom line goal is to increase participation then lets look at what events are most popular and will draw the most people and concentrate our efforts towards making them bigger and better. There has been a steady increase in interest of f3j around the country, RES and Nostalgia are doing better all of the time, and like Jason said, if given more days, I think f3b would draw many more people since it would be worth the hassel and expense to bring the required equipment to participate. Just because something is GOOD does not mean it can't be made BETTER. Maybe moving around is not what is needed as much as adjusting the schedules give more time to what is the most popular. This is one flyers opinion and I would love to hear from all others.
