John: Keep up the good work with the kids. I would like to do this too, but our local school shows little interest.
Have you seen my web site for the AMA Cub and Delta Dart? http://www.luminet.net/~bkuhl/Dart.htm <We have been running these courses for many years and although few of the kids continue in model <flying, it has introduced them to <engineering drawing reading, the ability to create a model and an appreciation of flying. I think that most people don't realize so much can be gained from working with models, even though you choose not to take it up as a hobby. It requires technical approach to thinking, while cheaper and more fun than working on computers (my opinion, I do that for a living). There is a general dis-interest in science in the US, as such science scores for high school students continue to drop. Bill Kuhl RCSE-List facilities provided by Model Airplane News.
