The Local Cl curve helps you to evaluate the wings tendency to tip stall.

The Lift Distribution tells how close the wing comes to the ideal elliptical
distribution and thus the minimum induced drag.

Which is more important depends on your personal tastes and what the plane
is intended to do. Most of the time both are fairly important.
