Bill,
      I believe your asking to lose a plane very early in it's life cycle. 
HS-50's only have 9 oz. in. of torque. A 3M ship with any airspeed will 
stall them. I wouldn't even attempt a dive test, I don't believe it would 
pull out, ever.

PS,
     Just read the second post, even HS-55's in my opinion would be too 
small for a 3M ship. they only have 11 oz.in. of torque.
