"Breezy with gusts below the passes and canyons". SoCal code for "Santa Anas". Its in the 70s, near 80 today, low humidity and there's a fairly consistent 15-20mph wind from the North East. Further inland you've got overturned semis and sandstorms in the desert. (Its fortunately too late in the season for fires because these are the winds that crank up a good firestorm.)
I still haven't found a good slope to use these winds. I've been looking on and off for years. Its easy enough to find a slope facing the right way but one with usable lift rather than a microscopically thin lift band surrounded by vicious turbulence has eluded me so far. Its definitely foamie weather if I could just find the right hill! (Yes. I know its January. Yes, we really do get four seasons here. At least four, in fact.)
