Et Al,

Most if not all the launches that I saw were on a zip start so I can't
comment on that. However I watched Daryl spec out from those launches
more than once. Sat. and Sun. were very cool and partially cloudy so
thermalling was not a given.
I was paying attention to the landings more than anything else. The
Fusion slows down very nicely yet handles well while doing so. Daryl was
making his final approaches low and slow at about 2 to 3 feet off the
ground and the Fusion just kept coming . I think even Daryl was suprised
and had to adjust. We noticed that after each landing he was fiddling
with the Profi 4000 and by Sun. his landings were spot on.
After at least one off his spected out flights he made a high speed
low inverted pass over the field. Fast, quiet, and impressive. Over the
years of watching Daryl fly i am used to his demonstrated skill as we all
are at SWSA. The Majority of us still believe that it's 90% pilot and the
rest is left to the equipment and your called up launch window !
