I fly for the fun of it, yes I'd like to shoot for that top spot just because that is the main goal with competition flying, but if I don't get there... well so be it. One of the best features is the socializing that takes place during these events. Last time I checked there wasn't any money involved with winning these things anyways or did I get short changed!? ;-) The important thing here for me is that these contests continue so I can keep having a special date to pencil in on my calendar. Maybe I'm looking at this from the wrong angle but as least I can honestly say that I have a blast at every contest I attend. It's another opportunity to get to know everyone out there that enjoys this hobby like I do. Let's just have fun and get on to the flying.
