OK, the race is saved, thanks to several who have stepped
up to help Gavin Botha. Craig Toutolmin will CD, Scott Hewett is building a
pilot stand and Cliff Lindgren is supplying a porto-potty. The SoCal gang
are supplying lights and poles. I will do the entry fees and channel
conflicts while Gavin will still be taking care
of our campsite and many other details. Nathan has kindly agreed to do a
post on Sloperacing.com, check it out for further details and sponsors.

This is the biggest unlimited race in the country. It is
possible that the SoCal Manly Pilots Assn. will dare to show up to challenge
the Shell Ridge Sissy boys...but I doubt it somehow. There will be trophies
(not trophy wives) or plaques for the first 3 pilots. Best wreck gets $100.

The first 30 checks I receive will be confirmed entries,
after that I will create a waiting list, holding your check till after the
race, so if a space later becomes available I will deposit your check. From
what I hear checks should be sent ASAP. The $30 fee covers the workers
raffle,
workers food, pilot stand materials, porto-potty and trophies (trophy wives
will be a lot extra).

Workers (limited to 20) who volunteer their time will
be eligible to enter a raffle for an Acacia II sponsored by F3X, but cannot
also be pilots.

Great odds for a great plane. Many volunteers are needed to run this event
properly and the fees will be used to pay for raffle prizes and to cover
expenses.

Please email me if u want to volunteer.

To enter the race, please mail me your $30 entry fee
plus;
1. Your AMA #, (remember to bring your card to the event).
2.Your frequency and backup frequency numbers;
3.Your email address.

Send it to 941 Walnut Avenue, Walnut Creek CA94598.

Barry.
