I used to think I need a wind meter for paragliding - until the day I nearly
killed myself by launching into a wind that my wind meter told me was a safe
speed. That was the last time I used it, there is nothing wrong with the
meter and I consider it accurate (it is quite a good one) but very often the
wind you measure while standing at launch is NOT the wind that you are about
to flying in!
You can gain a much better gauge of what's going on by observation of the
environment and a little intuition!

FS: 1 Skywatch wind meter - hardly used.........any takers ??
