Get out your trusty gram scale and weigh the 5 cell battery pack.  Now place your 4 cell pack on the scale and add led until it weighs the same as the 5 cell pack.  The CG should again be correct if your scale is accurate or at least very close if it is not.

Subject: CG help on a flying sailplane??
Message-ID: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]">[EMAIL PROTECTED]>

Hi Soarheads

I hope someone is one line and can help me with this question. I have
a Multiplex ASH26 1/4 scale glider. It has flown one time I had to give
it 4 clicks down trim for perfect flight right off the board YEA I KNOW
lucky first try. Well I have the CG set at what the manf. say's with a 5
cell pack. I am switching to a 4 cell pack and my question is on setting
my CG back to where it was is???

With the 1/32" down trim in the elevator right now for perfect flight.
Do I move the CG back a 1/8" from where it is now for a start or should
I move it foreward 1/8" to make up for the slight down trim it has now?
I am headed out to the Big Visaila aero tow event and just tweaking the
glider since I stripped a gear on the first flight. THANKS for any help
tonight.  Jerry
