The DSlope Fest Tshirts are in. There were several folks who will not
be able to attend but wanted to get a T-shirt. Please send me a note off
line if you want one. The price is $12.50 plus shipping. I haven't
inquired at the post office as of yet but I'm inclined to believe it will be in
the neighborhood of around $4.00 for the shipping. I will be confirming
that today.
If you haven't made up your mind yet, come on up to Cape Blanco, Oregon and
participate/watch some of the fastest RC Glider flying ever. Deiter and
Marcella of ShredAir fame are hosting the first official DS event ever. http://shredair.com/dsfest.html
There is a good chance that a new world record will be set. Some of the
best thumbs in the world will be attempting to break the 200 mph barrier.
Cape Blanco is a must see soaring site for the serious RC Glider
flyer. To say its spectacular is the least I can say about Blanco.
If you haven't seen the Oregon coastline your truly missing one of this
countries treasures. Cape Blanco is probably one of the windiest spots in
the USA. It is flyable either in a Southerly wind or a Northwesterly
wind. The DS is possible from either direction but best when it blows from
the Northwest.
The camping at Cape Blanco State Park is fantastic.
I hope to see lots of new faces there.
Thanks. Cliff Lindgren
