I've had a similar experience--I placed a small order a few months
ago. After ten days, I hadn't received the order and hadn't seen the
charge on my credit card. I sent them several e-mails, then tried calling
them on the phone, leaving them several messages. Another 8 days went by,
and I got an e-mail from the owner, saying they had a problem with their
server and the order would be shipping shortly.
A week or so later, I finally received one of the three items I'd
ordered. My card was not overcharged.
I sent him a letter saying that I would have felt a lot better about doing
business with him if he'd bothered to answer any of my several e-mails and
telephone messages--it makes the "problem with the server" excuse ring
somewhat hollow.
It's a shame--they do have some things I'd like to buy.
