OVSS #3 SOAR Chicago June 8th and 9th also has the 2 pre-defined model before the contest rule. >At my contest you get 1 plane per >class unless you break it, then you can fly your backup. Any other >question let me know. First, how will you track that pilots are not switching models? Or switching between different wings on models? Second, please define breaking it. Does that mean that the plane has to physically crash during the contest to allow the back up or does that mean if a servo doesn't work or perhaps a pilot should have a some sort of radio problem, including his rx battery running out charge just before he is called up to a round, program for his model is missing, changed or misbehaving, or a glitching rx, etc... is that enough to allow the backup at your contest? How broken does the model have to be before a pilot is allowed to use his backup in your contest? If I pilot didn't bring a back up is it fair to fly another pilots backup model if he just happens to have more friends at a local field? Or is the backup model predefined in your contest? How many backup models are allowed in your contest? If there is a limit how will you track it? Once you allow a pilot to switch to a backup model, is his original model no longer usable by any pilot in your contest until it is finished? I plan on attending your contest so I think these are fair questions to ask.
