If you look at the Laser Arts Majestic, you should know of some Mark Drela designed mods to the Majestic that are supposed to greatly improve thermal turning, reduce chance of tip stalls and improve high speed L/D. They are found in the files section of the Yahoo! Groups group Allegro-Lite.

If Mark Drela says something is a good idea from an aerodynamic or structural point of view, I would listen. You don't get to be an MIT Aeronautical Engineering faculty member for being ignorant. (And besides that, he is a pretty gung ho R/C sailplane builder and flyer.)

You do have to do a sign-up with Yahoo! to get access to the group. You go to http://groups.yahoo.com/ Once you get registered and logged in, type Allegro-Lite into the search box. At the Allegro-Lite group web site look under Files, Majestic
