If you go to hell - then you have to fly control line speed and nothing else
all day - every day.
OVER and OVER and OVER and OVER ....................

Subject: Re: [RCSE] RE: Model Aviation Soaring Column

Regarding soaring and AMA our greater number of entries in most of the
recent NATS has not really acknowledged by AMA. RC pattern and Pylon seem to
be the sweetheart events. Possibly because they spend a lot more money with
the advertisers in Model Aviation.

We have always had to do most of the work in our events--even before LSF
took over. In defense of Model Aviation and Bob Hunt and control line I have
a couple of comments. Unlike soaring where we all fly multiple events the
control line events are radically different from one to another and most
control line flyers fly only their specific event. Generally speed flyers
only fly speed (and the several classes within it), precision acrobatic
flyers only fly PA (and the three major classes within it), etc. Therefore
coverage is given to each cl discipline. Soaring has always been "soaring",
that's it, even though we fly different classes and events. Free flight and
indoor and treated the same as we are.

Remember that LSF is a special interest group and AMA is a political
organization. Since I joined AMA in 1955 there have always been complaints
about some aspect of the organization but all modelers are much better off
with AMA than without it and we should support it and change it from within
if necessary.
