After seeing the picture of such a fragile balsa ship, I would recommend serious bicycle testing (see my trimming wings page). The bicycle is your portable wind tunnel. You can also do this from a convertible car or from the bed of a pickup truck. You need a good clear area to maintain 15 to 25 mph while trim the plane. Hold it at the CG in the clear air stream and trim it for level flight. Definitely trim it with a bit of extra nose weight for stability. This will also show you how responsive it will be when you apply stick input. You will probably want to use negative expo to tame the controls.
