Will a gyro acting on a single aileron have much (enough) effect?
When the wind is sufficient to slope my 3 meter ship, I do not have enough strength to launch it in a level attitude.
Under the best of circumstances I can barely make through the "window" in the trees and brush that marks the line between turbulence and the lift band at my launch site. When a gust occurs while passing through the turbulent area it means a visit to Mart Falarski's "Dumb Thumbs Repair Shop" after I have retrieved the plane.
Would placing a gyro on one of the ailerons be sufficient to hold a 3 meter F3B ship level while passing through moderate turbulence?
Thanks,
(the other) Dave in Berkeley, California
