As you noted the bottom of the box has a proof or purchase label and UPC code, it seems to me a Xerox copy of that should allow them to validate you as a customer.

Always a good idea to register software that is purchased, and to keep the installation codes for software somewhere other than the computer you installed the software on.  I keep a list of these codes on my Palm Pilot.  This can really be a hassle for software that is purchased online that you need a code to install with that never came on a box or media, just downloaded, bought and installed.

Software companies are not libel to lean on the side of people claiming they lost the install code with out proof of purchase, an ugly situation, but on the other hand, very few individuals would actually purchase software if they were not forced to by some means.  CD ROMS are so easily copied these days and a majority people don't seem to have issues with breaking copyright law in that respect.

Good luck,
Jim

I bought a Real flight Simulator earlier this year and all was fine until my computer crashed. :(
After installing a new hard drive,
I need to reload my R/F G2 program.

My problem is this;
I no longer have the CD case for my disc that I think had the serial # on it.
I do have the CD and all of the original packaging including the box with
proof of purchase and the original instruction manual.

When I wrote Product Support at Great Planes Model Distributors they couldn't help because I didn't register their product.
Now I'm disappointed that I spent $240 for the worthless program!

What should I do?
