The form has a typo on it...it has been addressed on the LSF site and on RCSE...
The LSF, you know the ones who actually plan and run the events at the Soaring NATS, have made the changes.
What is different, we now are gonna run 2-days of F3J and Scale., at the request of the Nats participants.
The F3J and F3b crowd wanted 2 days of flying as well as the scale dudes..
This is how we are handling it..
That Data has been out there for quite some time, and on the LSF site since October.
yea, I know, who reads the LSF site....
We are not running one day of F3J where we have exclusivity of the frequencies, we have to share them.
The frequency control is the same as it has been in the past, in that to allow 3 entries on the same frequency.
The frequencies will be allotted on a first come first served basis, again as in the past.
Why, the frequencies need some protection from the 2 events ,due to the flying sites proximity.
Why the "TEAM" aspect...think about it.. Its a TEAM EVENT...
We are allowing 3 entries per frequency...would it not make sense to have your team on the same freq. so you do not have to deal with " Who has the 52 Pin ?" through out the day, again slowing the contest.
Or would you rather waste 5 to ten minutes listening to yahoo's yell...I need a tower, or I need a timer, or cockamamie protests...
If you want to enter on a separate frequency, then by all means, do so !!, but bear in mind there are only so many frequencies available.
During the fly-off's frequency changes will be required, by contestants, to stay within the Frequencies allotted for F3J;
The form has a typo on it... It was revised 4 time and the change still did not make the cut.
It has been addressed on the LSF site and on RCSE...
Now it has been addressed again..
I hope this helps everyone's understanding
Thanks !!

Only ONE entry per frequency combined with scale for both days!
The NATS have never supported a team format for F3J, with protection from flying against a team mate, other than to allow 3 entries on the same frequency. Now, even that protection is removed. Besides severely limiting the potential number of entries, which the two day format was to encourage, contestants will be left having to put a team together for every round. Why was this done?
