>>you could save an unlimited number pf programs and >>shuffle in and out the ones you neeeded
The general idea to this thread is understandable. But I must confess some confusion. As I and several others have pointed out; Multiplex comes pretty close to what has been wished for right now. You can move model programs from Tx to computer and back at will. The only thing is; with 99 model memories, I tend to not bother. Sure a Palm interface would super jiffy-keen, neat. But I see no reason to do it. To my knowledge, a GUI interface doesn't yet exist for any manufacturer. However, the MPX model programs can so easily be downloaded from a PC to the transmitter that surely a bright programmer could write one; right now if he so desired. The fact that it hasn't happened yet is evidence that there's not likely to be much market for it. I've not seen any limitations to my MPX3030. It must have some but I've not yet found any. And, the next model up, the MPX4000, is reportedly able to do anything. I believe most of the big name competitors have switched to MPX. Friends, there's a reason. I've figured out Airtronics and MPX. Thousands have figured out Futaba and JR. None are all that hard. So tell me: What's the real point of this thread?
