I remember those, they flew in an area with a tall circular chain link fence. They did a type of combat where they taped crepe paper streamers to the tails of the plane and use the props to trim the streamers. They also had .049 powered car and boat models, non-control line (single line, the cars/boats went around in circles). One car was wheel driven (my dad bought me one of these), and the other prop driven. My car was the equivalent of a "free flight", used it in a tennis court, and aimed it in the direction of the net, which was the "landing area" for the car. One interesting thing about the powered car was a clip on that went around the cylinder head, by sliding the clip, the motor sound was muffled significantly (not sure how much power loss this was, but the car still worked). This was in 1962 or 1963, when the flying saucer bumper cars, pack mules, mine train (now thunder mountain)... and short lines (orange county being mostly farmland in those days). There was a golf driving range also, just north of the Disneyland hotel. My guess is that Harbor blvd was much smaller in those days. RCSE-List facilities provided by Model Airplane News.
