Guys I would welcome some opinions and advice
I just bought some pre made 10 cell RC2400 from a reputable supplier delivered through the post for a brushless twin jet and a 2.7m thermal soarer permax 600 +3.1GB both prev used 7 cells and BEC. The 2.7m soarer now climbs well and had no problems, however the twin jet flew like a rocket until I had a little glitch followed by a big glitch and it came down, airframe in one piece but battery pack flew 60 yards from impact. On inspecting the pack there were 4 breaks between the inline soldered packs, I am guessing there was a problem with this pre impact (maybe dropped in the post) as I have had not previous TJ problems. The question that arrises is that with shrink wrapped packs you cannot see a problem with this type of end to end soldering and it is clearly at risk of breaking down due to even mild impacts. What is the solution:- -would you just solder them back together (tell me how) -should you use joining tabs or should you use the braided tabs if so how much care and heat etc should you use. I also think I will can the BEC from now on. Thnaks in advance Chris UK RCSE-List facilities provided by Model Airplane News.
