I've found that I just don't like a heavy plane. Granted this depends *hugely* upon the current wind. But, I've found that the minimum necessary weight is my preference. Hand launch's have gotten so light that they are marvelous at illustrating this. It's easy for a just minor breeze to make a dream of a HLG completely outgunned. But minus the wind that same HLG will shine.

Sure I'll occasionally miss having a plane with "legs". But I just get more enjoyment when I can feel every bump of the air. I guess I just love gas-bags. Dang there's a realization!
