Hi Bill, I don't know if I understood your post correctly. Most every manual I have seen recommends the collapsed antenna and 100 Feet. I have a brand new Futaba 9c and that is what the manual recommends. I thought that you might be stretching it a little bit when you say that 90% of what you see on the list is useless and range checks are 50 % useless. I think that maybe you should have recommended that the gentleman in question should compare notes with another flyer with a like setup. What do you think? Regards, Old Bob
