And with 42V batteries all old winches will go like lightning,
All this chatter about going to 42v systems for automotive use in interesting but.... I read that web page and no where did I see it mention 42 V batteries or starters. There was lots of chatter about 42 volts for audio/GPS/video etc. The current investment in 12 v battery technology (Pun unavoidable--actually I sorta revel in a good pun, but I digress.) is ma$$ive and won't be cast aside easily. I can easily see a 12 v battery and starter with an alternator putting out the 42 volts to run everything else. We shall see.
