If the NorCal F3F races are moved to Davenport I need to know how many of you are willing to commit to participating on the second Sunday of every month? If you have a conflict with the race day but are interested in participating please e-mail me anyway.
Davenport is a premiere slope racing site located directly on the pacific coast. It's not uncommon for the winds to be in the 20-30 knot range even during this time of year. Yesterday I called the automated windtalker as I left Los Banos and it said winds were 25 gusting to 30 knots. It was 12-15 at Banos from when I arrived at 10:30am till around 3pm when I left. Thanks for making the time and effort to be there JJ. The NorCal F3F series will only continue if you guys are willing to make the commitment. The Davenport site is located around 15 miles north of Santa Cruz. Please email me directly if you are interested joining us. The F3F format allows only one model on the race course at a time so there is NO risk of having a mid-air. Newbies are most welcome and we will make sure to set up some practice days in the future if your willing to make the comitment to race once a month. Any plane will work including, I dare say, a foamie :-) Bring what you have and give it a try. It really is a lot of fun and we will make sure to team you up with an experianced F3F pilot your first time out For a brief description of F3F racing please visit this link. http://www.sloperacing.com The rules can be found here> http://sloperacing.com/info/f3f.htm Please email me if you wish to be added to the NorCal F3F pilot list. For insurance reasons the only requirement is that you are a current AMA member. Go here and click on membership servicies at the top of the page to join or to simply find out more about the Academy of Model Aeronautics (AMA). http://modelaircraft.org/templates/ama/ Feel free to forward this message to group lists or individuals if you think there may be some interest. Again, please e-mail me if you wish to participate or if you have any questions. Thanks! Good lift, Dave Reese Santa Cruz, CA [EMAIL PROTECTED] RCSE-List facilities provided by Model Airplane News.
