I have to ask, what receivers are you guys using? I'm used my hitec supreme
in my hades ( which has a carbon boom) for about 2 years and it works great.
I can walk far enough away and still have control so that I can barely see
the model at all. It however has a boom longer then a 1.5 meter palne as it
has a 110 inch wing..

This seems to be typical unidirectional carbon where there are many
strong
strands in one direction and weak strands spaced 2cm from each other in
order to keep the strong strands in place. So I think they are connected
with each other.

Hmm, my tests indicated that the worst position was when the angle
between
TX and RX antennas was 45 degrees. 90 degrees was also bad. And the best
position was, when the RX antenna was directly pointing to TX or away
from
it.

I used helper and fully expanded antenna in my tests.
