Joe,
You don't need an 8 channel receiver. The receiver output order (with glider card, which you have) is actually:
I know that--but I was replying to "steinhausq" My attribution was somewhat ambiguous. :)
The channel assignments he listed were those without the glider card.
You're right about the glider card channel assignments, of course--and I think it's just a matter of time before any Stylus owner winds up buying it.

1 Right Aileron 2 Left Aileron 3 Elevator (or V) 4 Rudder (or other V) 5 Right Flap 6 Left Flap 7 Spoiler 8 Gear
The manual is a little confusing on this point - you are looking at the row of numbers for REV positions, not channel assignments.

I am a new owner of a Airtronics Stylus Transmitter (with glider card) and a seven channel Airtronics 92775 receiver. I would like to use my radio in a large F3B glider with V-tail, flaps and ailerons. The Stylus Operating Manual indicates that the standard receiver channel assignments when operating in sailplane mode are:
Receiver plug Number Function 1 Spoiler 2 Left Aileron 3 Elevator 4 Rudder 5 Gear 6 Left Flap 7 Right Aileron 8 Right Flap
My receiver is only 7 channel and I would very much like to have control of the right flap normally assigned on channel 8 reassigned to a lower number channel. Can I reassign the right flap function to a channel I am not using like (channel 5-gear) or (channel 1- spoiler)?
What is the best way to accomplish the channel switch such that all of the factory pre-setup landing mixes and such work correctly with channel 8 reassigned to one of the lower channels?
You'd be far better off just to buy an 8 channel receiver--it's not like they cost a fortune or anything. :)
As far as accomplishing what you want, you could just use a Y cable to activate both flap servos from ch. 6.
You could also get a glider card (face it--if you ponied up the money for the features of the Stylus, sooner or later you're going to spring for the glider card). Using the 2A/2FER setting, your channel assignments will be
1 RA 2 LA 3 E 4 R 5 RF 6 LF
7 and 8 are assigned to spoiler and gear, respectively.
