Don't forget this Sunday will be the DARTS Electric Fly-IN v2.0 at the Twin
Towers Park. Fun fly as usual...but also we WILL have Limited Motor Run
man-on-man competition.

Primary class will be 7-cell speed 400 class as flown at the AMA E-NATs.
However, to encourage participation, I will also allow pilots to
run-what-they-brung if they don't have speed 400 class airplanes.

I will have any non-speed 400 planes demonstrate a maximum performance climb
which I will time and see how long it takes to get to about the same
altitude as a speed 400 class model. I will have available a tiny altitude
transponder about the size of a receiver that can be rubber banded to the
plane to confirm altitude. I will then have a time countdown to launch for
each round and adjust launch sequence so all planes end up at about the same
altitude at the end of the engine run time. As the rounds go by, I will
adjust the launch time handicap as indicated by any gross differences in the
climb. This should be a LOT of fun!

Winner will be awarded a laurel and hardy handshake! . Pilot's meeting at
10:00 am. See you all then!"
