OK, yesterday I did make a proposal. As I have had no responses, I must assume that
no one made it all the way to the bottom of my last post, at least not any builders or
there is ZERO support. So I will repeat it. If anyone would like to
pursue it let me know OFF LIST! On this list, on this subject I will shut up for all
time.

"THE LSF SHOULD NOT BE CHANGED!

What I would like to know is if there would be any support for an organization to
recognize the builder / designer / flyer. I would envision levels from as simple as
building a Gentle Lady and flying it successfully to designing and
building the planes that you used to compete with. Wood, foam, glass, brick, straw,
whatever as long as it functions as an R/C sailplane.
I would also see this organization as one to foster interest in R/C soaring. I guess
I feel that ARF's are not always such a good idea. No emotional involvement with the
model could also mean no emotional commitment to the hobby. Crash it
and forget it. Nothing personal. But I am probably wrong. Let me know what you
think."
