Uhh...YES it will. Geo magnetic storms (coronal ejections) potentially
cover the whole radio spectrum, including 35, 40, and 72MHz. It usually
starts to roll off in the upper FM band (little affect on microwave
activity). Look what happens to HAM (53MHz bandwidth).
The ionasphere is relatively low plasma density, the coronal ejections
significantly increase plasma material density, thereby increasing the
energy, and adversely affecting EMI in general, RFI in particular.
