removing silicone, tar, wax, polish, grease,
weathered finish, etc from old lacquer and
enamel finishes."

I've used Prep-Sol for years...On plastics,
fiberglass, epoxy, metals, wood, etc and never
experienced any ill effects.

The PPG DX-330 is basically the same thing. You
should find it at most automotive paint supply shops.

An auto body paint and supply place would be my first guess.  Prep Sol is a
Dupont brand I believe, PPG is another brand but I'm not sure what their
equivalent is (DX 330 or DX 380 might be close).
