Just picked up a Pike Superior (X-tail)from Tom Watson. I don't pay much attention to models these days - what's available, the names of each model, who's winning with what model... etc...., but I do recall flying a Pike Superior for a guy at Visalia for about 3 minutes one afternoon, and being pretty impressed with the way it pulled on tow, and seemed to cover ground. They all thermal guys, if ya fly them in the right place.... ;-)
I have to confess the fit and finish on this plane is probably as good as or better than I have ever seen. It's very pretty. I think the overall design of this model may be well suited to the F3B tasks (if the plane can be built stiff enough). I doubt mine is stiff enough, but we'll see. I'll give you guys a report on flying characteristics when I do finally get the radio gear installed. Besides, I figure if Gordy can do well with it... the plane's got be close to miraculous.... ;-) D __________________________________ Do you Yahoo!?
